A Wine-filled Hens Night in the Adelaide Hills

The first thing you need to do is book your accommodation for the weekend. This way, you’ve got a focal point for the entire weekend. For the Adelaide Hills, Hahndorf is a great spot.
Saturday, party day
Start the weekend off by meeting early Saturday morning. Check into your rooms and get ready for a weekend full of fun. Have a glass of champagne, croissants, strawberries and coffee waiting for the girls – light snacks and a cheeky drink to get everyone in the mood. Catch up, open any presents, and allow time for the girls to get to know each other (for those who don’t already).

Choose three to five wineries that you’d like to visit. Some of the most popular cellar doors in the area include Bird in Hand, Shaw & Smith, Nepenthe Wines and Golding Wines. In the late afternoon, circle back to the Hahndorf area. If you need to, freshen up back at the accommodation and head to Mount Lofty House right in time for sunset.

If you’re all feeling in the party mood after a long day, head down the hill into the city. Take your pick of any of the dozens of small, artisan wine bars or go dancing.
Sunday, pamper day
Chances are, you’re going to need a mini sleep in. The time you wake up will depend on how many hours you were out dancing, but let’s say 10.00am to be safe.
Take your time, and get ready for a nice relaxing day in Hahndorf. Stroll down the beautiful main street and refuel by having brunch at the Haus. Continue onto Senses Day Spa where you’ll spend a couple of hours getting pampered.
End the weekend with one final glass of bubbly or Sauvvy B at the Lane Winery. Share a cheese and dip platter, and take any last-minute photos.
